As usual, we had such a busy end to the year! Thanks to everyone who sang and performed at a gig – it’s been so much fun!
After our rock band supporting gig in November, we went ‘trad’ in December and sang carols at Camberwell Indoor Arts market which went so well. Some us also ended up singing at the Old Vic as part of the 12 Choirs of Christmas project. We must be one of the the only choirs to have performed live on stage at both the Young Vic and the Old Vic!
Next up was Carols round Camberwell, this year starting at Oval Tube station. With Lyndhurst Primary School choirs – we raised over £1340 which is an amazing achievement! The money has gone to Thames Reach, a charity that works with homeless Londoners.
Finally – many of us sang at St Giles’ ‘Carols by Candlelight’ service. It was standing room only in the church and we sang some tricky music that professional, full-time choirs might have thought twice about performing! But we did so well and it was an amazing way to end our festive season singing!
Choir will be back – we’ll keep you posted… we may have to temporarily move rehearsal locations due to an issue with the St Giles’ Centre Hall. But in the meantime, have a fabulous start to 2026!
