After some fun rehearsals and an awesome concert, we’re now taking a break for spring! We’ll be back rehearsing on Tuesday 28th April – have a fantastic break!
The ‘Sun at Night’
Choir is back…and we have exciting plans!
2026 is a very special year for CCC… we’ll let you know why as soon as we can, but suffice to say we have some exciting plans ahead this year!
In the meantime – choir is back and for the first half of term, we’ll be rehearsing in the Crypt at St Giles’ Church. We’ll see you soon!
Year end round-up
As usual, we had such a busy end to the year! Thanks to everyone who sang and performed at a gig – it’s been so much fun!
After our rock band supporting gig in November, we went ‘trad’ in December and sang carols at Camberwell Indoor Arts market which went so well. Some us also ended up singing at the Old Vic as part of the 12 Choirs of Christmas project. We must be one of the the only choirs to have performed live on stage at both the Young Vic and the Old Vic!
Next up was Carols round Camberwell, this year starting at Oval Tube station. With Lyndhurst Primary School choirs – we raised over £1340 which is an amazing achievement! The money has gone to Thames Reach, a charity that works with homeless Londoners.
Finally – many of us sang at St Giles’ ‘Carols by Candlelight’ service. It was standing room only in the church and we sang some tricky music that professional, full-time choirs might have thought twice about performing! But we did so well and it was an amazing way to end our festive season singing!
Choir will be back – we’ll keep you posted… we may have to temporarily move rehearsal locations due to an issue with the St Giles’ Centre Hall. But in the meantime, have a fabulous start to 2026!
A lot of happenings
The first week of November has been so busy for our choir it’s a bit hard to know where to start – so here’s a few pics to explain!

First up – our choir in the crypt night was rather splendid – mix a stage in an underground crypt with a bar and community choir – and you get a fantastic night of performances! Thanks to everyone who made it happen.
After that, some of us had a rehearsal with Lyndhurst Primary School Choir and some amazing musicians from the Old Vic… No pictures yet, but there will be some when we’re at the Old Vic in December.
And finally – supporting a rock band at The Electric Ballroom in Camden? Check. WHAT A NIGHT!
November’s not over yet and we have another gig before the festive season really kicks off!
Where did the summer go?!
We don’t know about you, but it seems like this summer has gone sooo quickly this year!
After some fun summer term gigs and our traditional cheese & wine night before the holiday, we’re looking forward to our new term that starts on Tuesday 9th September. It’s never too early to start warming up your voices and strap in for autumn!
Down in the gardens
Thanks for a fun term
We finished our spring term off in style with a rehearsal in a new venue! Thanks to everyone who came and took part – we had a fun time afterwards in a different local too!
Rehearsal dates for the summer term will follow soon – in the meantime, do check out some ‘save the dates’ on the calendar page.
Away Rehearsal
How on earth has it got to March already?!
We’ve been working on a varied range of music this term and we should have lots of new songs to sing in the summer.
To end this term though, we’re going to do an ‘Away Rehearsal’ in neighbouring Peckham followed by some suitable refreshments! Have a look at our calendar page for more details – friends and family are welcome!
Happy New Year!
Best wishes to everyone for a very happy and exciting 2025.
Our first rehearsal back will be on Tuesday 14th January – see you then!
